After a training camp in Tuscaloosa that featured 20 of the best male athletes under 23 years old, four Alabama Men's Team members were selected to represent Team USA for the U23 World Championship that is set to take place in Phuket, Thailand, on September 7-16.

Ford Burttram was impressed by each of the athletes that made the trip to Tuscaloosa. He said multiple times throughout the camp that this selection process was not easy because of the effort each athlete showcased.
The selected athletes are looking to build off a successful showing earlier this year in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, where they took first place in their qualifier for the U23 World Championships.
Peter Berry is set to represent Team USA for the third time this year after helping lead the U23 Team in March and made his debut for the USA Men's National Team that won a gold medal in the IWBF Americas Cup held in Brazil earlier this month. Peter was one of the vocal leaders throughout the camp, and he will bring intensity for Team USA.

Aaron Berry, a new member of the U23 Team, and is ready for his Team USA debut. Aaron had a great camp by showing off his ability to knock down shots at a high rate. The brothers are excited to compete at the highest level together and represent both Alabama and Team USA among the world's best.
Shaun Doss made the cut again after being one of the members that helped the U23 Team qualify in Mexico. Doss is looking to build off his success at camp by being one of the toughest defenders in his position.
Incoming Alabama freshman Tim Houston showed all week that even though he is one of the youngest members of the U23 Team, he deserved the selection. Houston showed his height is effective on both offense and defense by contesting shots while on defense and then scoring down low on the other end.
