NEW YORK CITY – Alabama Adapted Athletics delivered an impressive showing at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor & Para National Championships, held July 23–26 at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York City. Three Crimson Tide student-athletes competed against the nation's best, bringing home a national championship, two silver medals, a bronze medal, and multiple top-four finishes.

Leading the way was Dani, who captured the F46 Javelin National Championship with a season-best throw of 29.77 meters. The championship performance highlighted months of hard work and preparation, earning Dani the national title.

Dani added another podium finish by claiming the silver medal in shot put, giving Alabama Adapted Athletics two medals during the national meet.

On the track, Talan earned a bronze medal in the 100-meter dash, racing to a podium finish against one of the nation's strongest fields and continuing his successful season on the national stage.

Incoming freshman Daniel Figueroa made an immediate impact representing the Crimson Tide. Daniel finished fourth in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races, showcasing his talent and providing an exciting glimpse into the future of Alabama Adapted Athletics.

The performances in New York continue the program's tradition of excellence and demonstrate the depth of talent within Alabama Adapted Athletics. With a national champion, multiple medalists, and an incoming freshman already competing among the nation's best, the future of the Crimson Tide remains bright.
