Bama Adapted Athletes Take Part in Transformative Cultural Exchange in India

Our student-athletes are loving their time in India, teaching, learning, and growing through an unforgettable cultural exchange! This unique program brings together thirteen incredible athletes and two dedicated coaches from collegiate wheelchair basketball programs across the U.S., including members of Alabama Adapted Athletics, for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect through sport.

While basketball is at the heart of the trip, the experience goes far beyond the game. The team is building bridges through sport, sharing the power of adapted athletics, and engaging in meaningful cultural dialogue with communities across India. From on-court skills sessions to off-court conversations, the athletes are finding common ground, breaking down barriers, and celebrating the universal language of sport.

This cultural exchange is not just about competition—it's about creating lasting connections, promoting inclusion, and highlighting the global reach of adapted athletics. We are proud to support these incredible student-athletes and coaches as they represent their programs, their communities, and the spirit of adapted sport on an international stage.
